MicroRNA and Renal Allograft Monitoring

چکیده
Implication for health policy/practice/research/medical education: Renal allograft monitoring is a great challenge of transplantation medicine and different biomarkers have been proposed. MicroRNA is an appealing biomarker because we could trace it from different sources including biopsy samples urine and blood, particularly, miRNA signature of stable and impending to failure allograft in urine would be very important and it opens a new area of precise measurement of allograft function and outcome. here we reviewed very recent advances in this special area with more emphasis on miRNA patterns in the state of IF/TA.

Association of CCR5-59029 A/G and CCR2-V64I Variants with Renal Allograft Survival
Background: Despite advances in the medical care of renal transplant recipients which have led to an improvement in allograft survival, renal allograft rejection is still a major ob-stacle to successful organ transplantation. Understanding the mechanisms contributing to allograft rejection will be of great importance for the development of efficient antirejection strategies. Objective: The aim ...
متن کاملIncreased Expression of Toll-Like Receptors 2 and 4 in Renal Transplant Recipients that Develop Allograft Dysfunction: A Cohort Study
Background: The incidence of ischemic reperfusion injury (IRI) in early phase post-transplantation and activation of toll-like receptor (TLR-2) and TLR-4 remarkably impact the outcome of a renal allograft. Objective: To investigate whether the expression of TLRs in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) can predict the clinical outcome of kidney allografts. Methods: We obtained blood sample...
متن کاملMonitoring subtypes of the human polyomavirus BK in Iranian adult kidney transplant patients
BK virus (BKV) is a polyomavirus with seroprevalence in adults, ranging from 60 to 100%. It is considered as usual cause of renal dysfunction after the allograft renal transplantation nephropathy. Potent immunosuppressive therapy in kidney transplantation can lower the rate of acute rejection. Therefore, untreated BKV infections lead to kidney allograft dysfunction or loss. In order to estimate...
متن کاملDiagnosis of interstitial fibrosis and tubular atrophy in kidney allograft: implementation of microRNAs.
Chronic allograft nephropathy is the major cause of kidney allograft loss, and recent advances in immunosuppression therapy do not alter the picture. Interstitial fibrosis and tubular atrophy is an early event that starts early after engraftment and even could be found in recipients with good allograft function. Serum creatinine and estimated glomerular filtration rate have limited clinical rol...

CONTEXT Renal Transplantation is the most effective treatment for patients with end-stage renal disease, which is fortunately available in the developing countries, even for poor people. Nonetheless, the way forward should be the implementation of advanced science of transplantation, allograft monitoring abilities, knowledge about the epidemiology of renal disease in any specific region, awaren...
